Magnolia Prime Founder Unanimously Elected to Redwood City Committee

REDWOOD CITY, CA - September 1, 2009 -Redwood City, California’s City Council members unanimously elected Magnolia Prime founder, Karen Routt, to serve on the Housing and Human Concerns Committee at the August 10, 2009, meeting. The Committee recommends to the City Council how County, State and Federal funds supporting Redwood City’s citizens in the areas of housing, health and social services should be allocated. In fiscal year 2008, the Committee made recommendations that resulted in about 30 organizations and agencies receiving $1,500,000 million. (www.redwoodcity.org/government/bcc/housing/)

“The Housing and Human Concerns Committee plays an important role for the City Council and me. Creating viable housing options continues to be among the top issues facing this area and I see Karen contributing to that conversation and helping us craft solutions.
